3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis for CNC Milling Services

We offer 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, and right-angle milling services to help you quickly create products from simple straight lines to complex geometries.

5-axis CNC machining milling

5-Axis

These machines have three traditional axes as well as two additional rotary axes. A 5-axis CNC mill is, therefore, able to machine 5 sides of a workpiece in one machine without having to remove the workpiece and reset it.

3-axis CNC machining milling part

3-Axis

The most widely used type of CNC milling machine. The full use of the X, Y, and Z directions makes a 3-axis CNC mill useful for a wide variety of work.

4-axis CNC machining milling part

4-Axis

This type of CNC mill allows the machine to rotate on a vertical axis, moving the workpiece to introduce more continuous machining.

Applications of CNC Machining

Rapid Tooling

Leveraging advanced CNC technology, we can efficiently produce high-precision tooling components from a wide range of materials. This allows for significantly faster prototyping and production cycles, ensuring your project moves forward without unnecessary delays.

Rapid Prototyping

CNC machining provides a cost-effective and rapid solution for prototyping. With a diverse selection of materials available, it enables the quick production of high-precision prototypes, helping you validate designs and make necessary adjustments swiftly.

End-Use Production

With its ability to maintain tight tolerances, support a variety of materials, and deliver excellent surface finishes, CNC machining ensures reliable performance and consistency for final products. This makes it an ideal solution for end-use production across a range of industries.

Available Materials for CNC Milling

There is a wide variety of CNC machining materials available for milling. Typically, the most used are metals and plastics.

Metaller

Metal materials are widely used in CNC milling due to their durability and strength. Common metals widely used in the milling process include aluminum, stainless steel, and brass. Other materials that can be used for milling include copper, bronze, magnesium, titanium, zinc, osv.

Plast

Plastic materials are frequently used in CNC milling because they are easy to machine and have a wide range of properties that make them ideal for many applications. It includes ABS, acrylic, PC, PVC, Nylon, Pom, PE, Teflon, and more.

What is CNC Milling?

CNC milling is a highly precise machining process that utilizes computer-controlled machines to remove material from a workpiece to create custom parts. The process involves rotating multi-point cutting tools to carve out intricate designs and shapes based on a programmed set of instructions from CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.

During CNC milling, the workpiece is securely held in place, and the cutting tools move along multiple axes to achieve the desired shape. The most common types of CNC milling include 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling, each offering varying degrees of complexity and precision.

This manufacturing process applies to a variety of materials, inklusive metaller, polymers, wood, glass, osv.

CNC Milling Tolerances

Machining tolerances: When machining a part, the tolerance is the allowable deviation from the desired dimension. The tolerance must be taken into account when setting up the machine and when producing custom-milled parts.

At DEZE, we follow the ISO 2768 standards for both machined plastic and metal parts. This ensures that our products meet the highest quality standards. Typically, we can hold a CNC machining tolerance from ±0.005″ (±0.125mm) to ±0.002″ (±0.05mm) or even a tight tolerance of ±0.01mm.

One-stop Surface Finishing

Improve your part’s performance by selecting high-quality surface finishes that enhance the roughness, hårdhed, chemical resistance, and cosmetic features of your finished component.
